Domus: You only live twice

The discussions regarding the imminent relocation of the iconic lobby of Tokyo’s Hotel Okura reveal, once again, different perceptions of heritage and its contingent preservation. Whilst the discussion is getting increasingly emotional in Europe, it also gains in morbidity. Reaching the end of its lifecycle, there have to be third options for architecture to either preserve or cremate it.
